Oregon Ducks are quacking through Carolinas

What the quack has gotten into Oregon?

Suddenly, the Ducks, from ‘way out on the west coast, are a factor in battles for some of the best players in the Carolinas. They’ve already landed two of the best players in North Carolina in DE Chris McCain and CB James Scales of Greensboro, and have been in the hunt for several others.

Most notably, DE Gabe King, No.1 on our preseason list, moved to Eugene, Ore., just as the season was starting. Since the University of Oregon is located there, where do you think he’ll wind up playing his college ball?

And if you’ve forgotten, King is an unblockable beast coming off the edge.

It’s likely that the Oregon has an assistant coach with ties to the region, sort of like Alabama and former Carolinas Panthers assistant Sal Sunseri; I’ll check into it when I have a little more time.

Anyway, suddenly Oregon’s Ducks are more popular around here than that AFLAC fowl.

it's all about Coach "O". and he doesn't coach at Oregon. Think more Greensboro. Shady....

Lousy writing. Absolutley lousy. Who works at The Observer now? Elementary school kids?

Go Ducks!

These kids are probably looking for good teams to play for... don't really find that in NC.

Might be the weather there?

You won't win a championship in NC unless you play peewee football in Boone. Oregon's legit year after year.

By the way, Anon. No.2. Lousy sense of humor. Absolutely lousy.
