While we’re on the subject of written offers replacing verbal ones for juniors (that can happen as of Sept. 1), two Ardrey Kell stars have already had colleges mail them written offers.
*Drew Owens, the Knights’ talented tight end, has already received offers from East Carolina and South Carolina, coach Marty Woolbright said this morning. Owens is 6-foot-5 and 230 pounds, with good speed and soft hands.
*And running back Justus Pickett, quick and speedy at 5-10 and 180 pounds, has received an offer from Stanford. Nice; can Duke, Northwestern and Rice be far behind?
