Linton a Tar Heel, according to web report

North Carolina has received a huge local commitment, landing Charlotte Christian linebacker Ty Linton, according to Scout.com.

Linton, one of the school’s trio of BCS school-recruited LBs, said recently he had narrowed his top five to Duke, Wake Forest, Virginia and West Virginia, along with the Tar Heels.

At 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds with 4.49 speed in the 40-yard dash, Linton projects as an outside linebacker in college.

He’s also a prominent baseball prospect.

He is the Tar Heels’ second commitment. More on this later today.

The Scout article has quotes from Ty, exlaining how he came to his decision to commit to UNC. This is a done deal.

Love how fast the observer is to run an article on UNC. Let another school land a big one, you would be lucky to find a blurp days later. Looking forward to UNC and Butchy falling on the face again. Start writing the excuses for them...........

Don't worry about it Olson. Carolina haters will find anything to complain about.
