Kevin Johnson, a tall and speedy cornerback from River Hill High in Clarksville, Md., has committed to Wake Forest, according to Scout.com. The Deacons came from behind to outlast the Badgers, and North Carolina was also among his finalists.
Johnson, who is 6-foot-1 and 170 pounds with 4.45-second speed in the 40-yard dash, can play cornerback or safety, but likely has the quickness and size to be a shutdown corner in Winston-Salem.
*Virginia also picked up a quality DB, landing Rijo Walker of Bethel High in Hampton, Va. Walker, who is 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds, picked the Cavaliers over East Carolina, N.C. State, South Carolina and Wake, all of whom had offered.
*I’ll be at the Mt. Tabor at Butler game tonight; give me a holler if you get a chance.

Go Deacs!!!
Stan, this guy never had an offer from UNC, so I am not sure how he could choose someone over the Tar Heels. Not trying to be elitist, but that is simply the truth. Good luck to the young man and Wake.
What exactly would UNC football have to be "elitist" about?
UNC vs other NC schools over last three seasons: 4-5
WFU vs other NC schools over last three seasons: 7-1
Elitist???? "I don't think this word means what you think it means..."
Inside Carolina's Scout website lists Kevin Johnson as having an offer from UNC.
Typical Tar Heel B.S., as soon as someone goes with another schook he never had an offer from the Heels. What do they do pull their offer as soon as the player accepts another one?
Visor Boy Jr. has enough trouble keeping his players out of jail.
