Wisconsin wing Tokoto picks Tar Heels

North Carolina added a highly regarded wing player to its 2012 recruiting class late Thursday night when J.P. Tokoto of Menomonee Falls, Wisc., announced that he is committing to the Tar Heels.

Ritchie Davis, Tokoto’s club coach with the Wisconsin Playground Warriors, confirmed that Tokoto had spoken to North Carolina coach Roy Williams on the telephone and informed him that he had chosen the Tar Heels.

Tokoto is a 6-foot-6, 190-pound wing who’s rated the 32nd-best player in the nation by ESPN.
He joins point guard Marcus Paige of Marion, Iowa, in the Class of 2012 for North Carolina.

UNC shouldnt be recruiting kids like him. We should only be interested in the Top 20 players nationwide. Especially a kid that has surely seen little competition in WI.

Wow! Just wow! Is there anything more arrogant than a UNC fan? A kid that is in the Top 30 nationwide fails to be good enough?

UNC went to the NIT last year with 9 All-Americans on their squad. Maybe Tokoto is exactly what you need to BUILD A TEAM; not individuals... guys on the edge of being the best and not topping out in high school .

6-6, 190? He better add weight or he will get pushed around. Much too thin to expect anything from him anytime soon.
